Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP)

AAISA works with Alberta’s 6 Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) Providers who provide supports to Government Assisted Refugees (GARs) in Canada. RAP providers are located in Calgary, Edmonton, Brooks, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer. AAISA collects monthly reports from each provider which serves as the basis of a quarterly Dashboard Report compiled by IRCC.

AAISA convenes teleconferences with Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Government of Alberta (GoA), and Alberta’s RAP Providers on a quarterly basis to discuss the Dashboard as well as to foster provincial coordination surrounding refugee resettlement.
