IRCC IFHP Co‑Payments (Starting May 1, 2026)
The Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) provides temporary health coverage for refugees, asylum seekers, and protected persons in Canada. Starting May 1, 2026:
- $4 per prescription under IFHP.
- 30% co‑payment for other supplemental services (dental, vision, counselling, therapies, assistive devices).
- No co‑payments for core services like doctor visits, hospital care, or ambulance services.
This update affects only IFHP-covered supplemental health benefits.
