National Engagement
AAISA collaborates on a national level through its active participation in various newcomer-serving committees, including the National Settlement and Integration Council (NSIC), the Settlement and Integration Services Delivery Council (SISDC), the National Language Advisory Body (NLAB), and the GAR-RAP (Government Assisted Refugee-Resettlement Assistance Program) Working Groups.
Through these committees, AAISA works to enhance the integration and settlement of newcomers across Canada by sharing best practices, influencing policy development, and advocating for the needs of immigrants and refugees. This collaboration ensures a cohesive approach to settlement services, leveraging the collective expertise and resources of organizations nationwide to improve outcomes for newcomers and support their successful integration into Canadian society.
