National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Events in Alberta
As we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, AAISA encourages our colleagues in the immigration and resettlement sector to participate in local events and activities. Engaging with these events is an important way to honour the ongoing work of reconciliation and reflect on colonialism’s lasting impact on Indigenous Peoples.
We thank the organizations that have developed, organized and shared valuable resources for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Below, we’ve highlighted some of the events happening throughout the week, and we encourage you to explore additional opportunities for ongoing education in your community.
