AAISA is excited to share the 2023 Program for the Settlement & Integration Conference! The virtual conference, being held March 1-3, 2023, will bring together over 75 speakers, throughout more than 40 industry specific sessions.

Making Changes – Women In Technology Program

Women In Technology program – Making Changes Association (Calgary, AB)

What: Free training in Full Stack Web Development with Python Programming offered to immigrant and indigenous women with CLB 6.5 includes training in Python, Scratch, Figma, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, JQuery, Git, React, Express, SOL, Firebase, Test Driven Development using Mocha and Chai, Azure, and Microsoft PowerApps, training in Employment and Power Skills and a 4–6-week job placement in the Calgary tech industry.

CIWA: Immigrant Women’s Business Circles Project

This program equips immigrant women with the necessary tools to start, manage, and grow a business. Participants will undergo business development training that includes creating business plans, learning to navigate systems, developing partnerships, and accessing financing. Eligible to permanent residents or Canadian citizens, who are residing in Alberta (especially Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Lethbridge), seeking to develop a business, with CLB 4.
